Growing Up WILD
June 23 9:30-4:30 Greensboro Children's Museum
Cost: FREE
Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills. The activity guide, Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children: Is written especially for early childhood educators of children ages 3-7.
Basic WILD
July 9 - 9:30-4:30 Greensboro Children's Museum
Cost: FREE
Project WILD is concerned with providing information, as well as helping students to evaluate choices and to make responsible decisions. In short, Project WILD's mission is to help students learn how to think, not what to think about wildlife and the environment. Project WILD curriculum materials adhere to those strict efforts for balance and objectivity, backed by sound educational practices and theory. It also represents the work of many within the fields of education and natural resource management from across the country. K-12

FLP's mission is to develop citizens literate about the relationships between agriculture, the environment, and human populations. FLP envisions a future in which all people recognize the interdependence of agriculture, the environment, and human needs and work cooperatively to enhance sustainable agricultural practices and informed consumer choices. K-12
Project Learning Tree
July 20 - 9:30-4:00 Greensboro Children's Museum
Cost: FREE
PLT uses the forest as a "window" on the world to increase students' understanding of our environment; stimulate students' critical and creative thinking; develop students' ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues; and instill in students the commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment. K-8
Project WET

Educate. Empower. Act. The mission of Project WET is to reach children, parents, educators, and communities of the world with water education. We invite you to join us in educating children about the most precious resource on the planet, water. K-12
Aquatic WILD
August 18 - 9:30-4:30 Greensboro Children's Museum
Cost: FREE
The Project WILD Aquatic K-12 Curriculum and Activity Guide emphasizes aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecosystems. It is organized in topic units and is based on the Project WILD conceptual framework. Because these activities are designed for integration into existing courses of study, instructors may use one or many Project WILD Aquatic activities or the entire set of activities may serve quite effectively as the basis for a course of study. K-12
- All workshops are for adults only.
- Participants are responsible for bringing their own bag lunch and snacks. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. We will be doing activities outside for part of each workshop.
- All workshop participants will be eligible to receive 1 CEU upon completion of H.W. assignment. EE credit is also available for all workshops.
- Greensboro Children's Museum is located at 220 N. Church St. in Greensboro, NC.
