Are you searching for a field trip destination that’s educational and lots of fun? The Greensboro Children's Museum is the perfect place to bring your school or church group! We have two options for field trips here at GCM:  a Discovery Visit or an Explore-A-Tour.  We call our standard field trips, Discovery Visits, because our exhibits and special programs stimulate the imagination and educate the minds of children by focusing on art, science, math, geography, culture and most of all creativity and imagination.  Here, children can learn through play in a fun, educational and safe environment.

Teachers:  check out our SPECIAL OFFERS listed below!

FIELD TRIP OPTIONS AT GCM:

1.  Discovery Visit: An entertaining and educational, self-guided experience where children learn through play as they have fun in our 20+ hands-on exhibits. Groups are able to go through the Museum at their own pace. While some exhibits, like Creation Station, may offer special programming, this field trip option does not contain a pre-planned educational program component like Option #2.

Duration:  1.5 hours

Cost: $3/child

2.  Explore-A-Tour: Includes the full experience of a Discovery Visit, plus additional time for specialized programming.  Programs compliment classroom curriculum and NC Standard Courses of Study and include playful instruction led by a GCM educator.  There are six educational programs to choose from including ones on wellness (Step-by-Step), science (Ready, Set, Grow!), history (Happy Birthday Greensboro & A Trip to Nonie's!) and money-management (Build-A-Bank).For more details check out the tab for this program on the top left of this page

Duration: 2 hours

Cost: $4/child
