We Love Our Volunteers!

Do you love children and enjoy being around them?

Then we have a great opportunity for you!The Greensboro Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers of all ages to help us on the floor when our young guests are here playing, help our programs department prepare for upcoming events or simply help answer the phone and give directions to the museum.  If you are still young at heart, mind and soul and truly love to have fun, give us a call and

we’ll show you what fun is all about.

Floor Exhibit Volunteers

Floor exhibit volunteers are the museum’s on-site hosts helping our visitors get acquainted with the museum’s facilities and exhibits, ensuring the safety of visiting children and facilitating the museum’s traffic flow. This person could also jump into character and be a grocery storemanager, health care provider, artist or community helper is just the beginning of how you can interact with our young guests. Must love to talk, be around children and most important know how to have fun!

Birthday Party Volunteer

Do you love a party?  If yes, this is a great job for you!  A volunteer is needed to help GCM birthday parties.  This includes decorating the party room, cleaning up after the party, assisting the party group, and other hosting-type jobs.

Face Painting Volunteer
You may be a face painting wonder already and if not, you will be soon! Children love to have their faces painted. We supply the non-toxic markers and examples, but you can certainly come up with your own creations.

Program Volunteer

This volunteer will work with our Program Director and help with ongoing programs and do things like art projects, puzzles, reading books, science experiments, games and much, much more.  You may also help prepare crafts for up coming programs.
