First Friday Night Special

Each week, we’ll meet in The Edible Schoolyard Kitchen Classroom to combine literature and food.  Using the story as inspiration, your kids will use fresh ingredients to create kid-friendly cuisine they’ll love making and eating.

Come explore art in the digital age as we apply elements of art and design to enhance iPad creations. Each week will have a different theme and look at classical and modern masterpieces for inspiration. Participants will each draw and share iPad artwork using a variety of techniques.  You may bring your own iPad and charger or use one of ours.

This week pointillism is our theme!  After admiring the work of Georges Seurat, we will apply similar techniques with color and stroke to our digital pieces.

Making Crepes is a delicious endeavor; they are healthy, inexpensive, and can accommodate a variety of fillings and toppings. In this class, Véronique (http://crepes-veronique.com) will teach you how to make a light and thin crepe, and you’ll learn tips and techniques for cooking each crepe to perfection.

On the menu: mushroom béchamel sauce & cheese, classic ham & cheese, chocolate banana, and chocolate coconut.
