Playgroup

Description:  Connect with other parents and caregivers of young children (Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers) at the Greensboro Children’s Museum each week for a standing playdate! Meet a Museum educator for a kick-off activity and then go exploring, playing, and learning in the Museum together

Dates: 

Time:    3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Ages:    0-5 years with a caregiver

Teen Cooking Class:  Pâte á Choux (cream puffs) (ages 12-14)

Description:  In this class you will learn how to make these beautiful pastries from scratch. We’ll make Pâte à Choux (the dough) and techniques for making pastry cream (the filling). 

On the menu: homemade cream puffs

Description:  Creative and fun, these classes plant the seeds of yoga to stimulate imagination, maintain flexibility and develop conscious breathing. Our unique approach combines yoga poses with rhythm, literacy, games and mindfulness techniques.

Description:  Over the six-week series, your kids will learn to code using Dot and Dash robots and the Learn to Code Curriculum.  We’ll write code with loops, sequences, and events by completing new challenges each week that are designed to help kids grow their own skills while working collaboratively.

Description:  Celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday with this hands-on cooking class. We'll read the story Green Eggs & Ham and prepare our special recipe for scrambled green eggs using fresh ingredients (no artificial food coloring)!

Adult Cooking Class:  Instant Pot Essentials (ages 21+)

Description:  Don’t put away your Instant Pot just yet! Even when the weather is warming up, you can use the Instant Pot to make hummus, beans, and risotto. Using your Instant Pot in every season makes cooking convenient, easy, and healthy. Leave your oven off this summer and still enjoy dishes like shredded chicken or pulled pork. Songbirds

Description:  Introduce your child to the benefits of music this spring as we explore the wonders of nature through songs, sounds, instruments, stories, and dance.  This class is a wonderful way to develop your child's natural musical inclination while spending time outdoors in the garden with new friends.
