Summer 2015 Friday Night Special

Looking for fun for the kiddo’s on Friday’s? GCM is the place to be Fridays this summer!
Experience the FUN for a thrifty price. On Fridays until Labor Day admission is only $2.00 from 5pm-8pm.

 

Closed Monday, September 7th Labor Day

Closed September 8th - September 11th for cleaning.
Reopen Saturday, September 12th.

Novant Health "Game Night at the Museum"
Friday, August 14, 2015, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm

Come out for a family game night sponsored by Novant Health complete with a healthy topics trivia game, plinko board, putting green activities, and a hula hooping contest!  Enter the raffle for your chance to win a family ticket package to see the Greensboro Grasshoppers, and keep your eyes on the lookout for a guest appearance by Guilford, the Grasshoppers' mascot!

 

Meet a Police Officer

Story Time with a Librarian

Libraries are such an important part of our community, and we are lucky to have a branch right across the street!  Mr. Peter Turner, Youth Services Librarian from the Central Library, will host a lively and interactive story time for us in our book store exhibit.  

Get to Know Guilford County EMS

Join us over at our ambulance to get to know a community helper from the Guilford County EMS.  Learn about the job of an EMS worker, and get some important tips for staying safe!

 

 

 

Little Sprouts for Fall

Tuesday's October 6th - November 10th, 3-4 pm

Join us in the garden as the leaves change and fall begins! In this hands-on preschool program, we will explore The Edible Schoolyard together, playing and learning all along the way. This garden series will focus on a different theme each week.
October 6 – Rowdy Roots
This week, we will harvest and plant root vegetables in the garden.

October 13 - Friendly Flowers
This week, we will explore the colors, shapes, and smells of garden blooms.

October 20 - Strong Stems
Join us as we discover, taste, and experiment with stems large and small.

October 27 – Fantastic Fruits
We will decorate pumpkins and learn about how fantastic fruits grow in the garden.

November 3 - Super Seeds
Come plant seeds, make seed art, and go on a seed adventure in the garden.

November 10 – Lovely Leaves
This week, we will explore the changing leaves of fall and taste edible leaves.
