These programs include time in the garden, a seasonally appropriate lesson, and possibly a taste of something in the garden. Students in grades Pre-K-5 will also have time inside the Museum to explore the hands on exhibits.

Urban Farmer I (Grades Pre-K-K) (Spring, Summer, and Fall)

What do rabbits, worms, chickens, and people have in common? We all depend on farmers for food! Farm with us and learn how plants and animals help each other in the garden.

How do farmers grow food in the middle of a city? Understanding the ecology of gardens, ponds, and soil helps people produce their own food no matter where they live. Experience our incredible farm in downtown Greensboro!

Working in the Edible Schoolyard, students find a meaningful context for lessons on the nutrient and energy cycles, ecology, and the kingdoms of life.Join us and examine the ways the people interact with the natural world in the seed to table process.
