An amazing new traveling exhibit
at the Museum from
October 3-December 30
All activities free with Admission!
Every object in our world has a story of how it is made
and "How People Make Things" shows kids how things are created in fun and educational ways!

Inspired by the factory tour segments from the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood television series, "How People Make Things" offers children hands-on, educational activities using real factory tools and machines. Children ages 3-11 years can learn first hand how everyday objects are made using the four basic manufacturing processes - cutting, molding, deforming and assembly. A few of the activities include using a die-cutter to make a horse, assembling a wooden trolley, molding a spoon out of wax and deforming a penny.
The exhibit is only here through the end of December, so make sure you come and visit the Museum before it leaves!
Teachers
This exhibit is a wonderful educational tool for your students! We have a curriculum guide linked directly to the exhibit that shows how children will learn using math, science and social studies as they do the activities. Field trip opportunities are still available in November and December so call today! Scholarships are also available.
